Workflow · Creator footage

Find B-roll and remembered scenes across your shoots.

The right shot is already in your footage. Describe it, check the moment and go straight to the original.

How it works in practice

  1. Step 1: Connect the folders where your footage already lives

Link project folders and drives. Keep originals in place and choose which videos to index.

    Sample foldersTravel / Kerala · City rides 2025 · SSD-02 / B-roll

  2. Step 2: Describe the moment

Search with a description, a setting or something that was said. Keep the scope to all linked folders or narrow it to one shoot.

Sample querycyclist by the water after rain, evening light

  3. Step 3: Check the match and reveal the original

Check the evidence and source time. Play the moment in CutroomOS, then reveal the original in Finder.

    Sample resultcity_ride_11.mov · 00:52–01:06 · visual evidence

What the result can and cannot tell you

Search covers the indexed portion of your library. If some videos are not indexed yet, or a drive is disconnected, results say so instead of implying the scene does not exist. A result references a time range in the original file; it is not a rendered clip or export.

Start with the footage you already have.
