Find the moment you remember.
Describe a scene or something that was said. Find the matching moment, its source and its time.

Coverage and search questions
What can I describe?
Scenes, settings, sounds, a phrase someone said or text that appears on screen. What a search can find depends on the evidence available for each recording: visual observations, recognized speech or visible text where those were indexed.
Why didn’t a moment I know about appear?
The recording may not be indexed yet, may be excluded, or may be only partially indexed. CutroomOS tells you how much of the scope it searched, so “no matches in the indexed portion” never reads as “that scene doesn’t exist.”
From the results you can index the missing videos, widen the scope or describe the moment differently.
Is there a confidence score?
No. Results are ranked, and each one states the signal that matched (picture, spoken words or visible text) with a short explanation. CutroomOS doesn’t show a percentage it can’t stand behind.
What happens when a drive is disconnected?
Previously indexed evidence can still appear, marked with the drive it lives on. Playing or revealing the moment needs the drive (or another verified copy of the file) to be connected.
Is my query sent anywhere?
Search runs when you submit, not on every keystroke. Your query and the permitted evidence may be processed by intelligence services to find matches; your original video files stay in their folders. See Privacy and data.
Can I export the clips I find?
Not at launch. You can play the moment, continue the source, reveal the original file and copy its path and timecodes. CutroomOS doesn’t render or export clips.
Start with the footage you already have.
CutroomOS runs on your Mac and works with the folders where your videos already live.
